Zach Costa
Owner & Head Coach
Zach is a 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Diogo Gomes with an impressive MMA record of 5-1-1. With 18 years of martial arts training, he brings deep knowledge and passion to every class.
Vasja Volin
BJJ Instructor
Vasja is a purple belt with a decade of BJJ experience under the guidance of outstanding instructors like Zach Costa, Bruno Malfacine, and Ioannis Hronakis.
Margie Hunt
Kids BJJ & Flexibility Instructor
Margie holds a blue belt with a background in gymnastics, dance, yoga, and fitness competitions. She brings a unique perspective to kids BJJ and flexibility training.
Uche Mowete
Muay Thai Kickboxing Instructor
A Bay Area native with nearly 19 years of martial arts experience. His journey began with traditional arts and Taekwondo before mastering Muay Thai.
Austin Glushenko
BJJ Instructor
Austin is a dedicated purple belt under Diogo Gomes at Rio Combat, starting his jiu-jitsu journey in 2019. An active competitor on the circuit.
